A person who works with their hands is a laborer...
A person who works with their hands and brain is a craftsman...
A person who works with their hands, their brain and their heart is an Artist.

Judy Butler is an award-winning artist whose work can be found in homes and offices all over the south, as well as clients in California, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. She has been an artist of people and things all her life. It is first a natural talent that has been groomed with study and seasoned with practice. After spending nearly 40 years in the retail advertising world, Judy is now sharing her talent with individuals.

She says, "I still live with a 'deadline' attitude, but sharing my art and providing something the camera cannot is what I love most". "I draw and paint for the love of it, but also for the challenge and feeling of accomplishment that comes from capturing that certain look or feeling that speaks to the viewer".

She adds, "I grew up in south Alabama and for me life was about doing many things... learning new ways to do things ... I guess my life is interpreted in my art as well, because I really enjoy working in all types of media. Most often either the client or the subject to dictate which medium it will be". "Fortunately I have a very patient husband who enjoys (I think) the various directions I go with my art. He loves the interaction with my clients, and shows the same satisfaction when a piece is delivered. Likewise, he is quick to look over my shoulder with a critical eye ...  Britt is my rock."

Statement from the Artist

Knowing that my art brings joy to others is the motivation that drives me. I think they share in the work of an original by knowing that every line, every stroke has a personal touch and there is no other like it.

Thank you visiting my website. I welcome your email, or contact and would love to discuss your art interest personally. Whether it is a piece you have found here or a special painting you would like to have, I would love to help you interpret a vision.
