Examples above... the "Seaoats" offer a touch of the beach in just the right size and colors to finish a room. And, YES, you can touch it. Or maybe it's a portrait such as the one above...  the client wanted one color (charcoal)...  I suggested doing it in duo-tone of browns to give them the 'one color' affect, while staying true to the chocolate coloring. 11" x 14"

This is a personal example where art finished the look: We were ready for something new for our den. A better size, colors and subject than the one we had over our fireplcace, what better than a 'family portrait' of my husband, Britt and our Corgi children and grand-dogs. (Also in memory of Molly, the mother corgi looking at Britt) It completed the room. 36" x 48"
